Micaela practices medicine with a community focus. Whether that is her local Queens community or her greater community of physicians of color, her goal is to create impactful networks for the communities who need her services the most.
Through her instagram account she provides a forum to share lupus facts, strengthen lupus awareness, and support the lupus community.
Through her Queens lupUS support group she promotes Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) knowledge through events to support lupus awareness within the local community, as well as provide a safe space for learning and peer support to people living with lupus.
